Stepping into Nazuna Kyoto Gosho was like entering a serene oasis where traditional Japanese charm meets modern luxury. the warm welcome from the friendly staff set the tone for a remarkable stay. Our room, with its hinoki bathtub and open ceiling showcasing wooden beams, exuded a perfect blend of history and comfort. the highlight of our experience was the exceptional dinner prepared right in front of us by a talented chef, using ingredients grilled on broiling charcoal. This unique cooking method truly brought out distinctive flavors and textures, setting it apart from conventional gas or electronic cooking. We indulged in a traditional Japanese breakfast, featuring rice from a local company with ties dating back to the Edo period. the included sake tasting and matcha tea ceremony further enriched our cultural immersion. Situated in central Kyoto, Nazuna Kyoto Gosho allowed us to easily explore both ancient and modern attractions, from the Imperial Palace to Nijo Castle. the private garden view from our king-size bed and the serene hinoki bath overlooking the garden added a touch of tranquility to our experience. In conclusion, Nazuna Kyoto Gosho surpassed our expectations, offering a perfect blend of luxury, history, and culinary delights. This elegant ryokan is a hidden gem, ideal for travelers seeking an authentic and immersive Japanese experience.
